The tools we use for abstract illustrations
What exactly is an "abstract illustration"?
A non-figurative visual composition: geometric shapes, textures, gradients, patterns. Unlike a figurative illustration (characters, recognizable objects). Useful for illustrating abstract concepts (data, collaboration, innovation) without falling into the cliché of pictograms.
How long if we need 30 illustrations for a website?
10-12 days. We work in sprints: style validation (days 1-3), followed by production in batches of 10 illustrations. For 30 illustrations, this results in 3 successive batches with intermediate validation.
Do you follow our existing brand guidelines?
Absolutely. We integrate your brand colors, your fonts (if present in the illustrations), your guidelines. If you do not yet have a formal style guide, we can create a mini visual guide for your illustrations (palette, recurring shapes, grid).
What is the difference between abstract illustration and pictogram/icon?
Pictogram = simple, monosemic, minimalist symbol (e.g., an envelope for "email"). Abstract illustration = complex, interpretive, decorative composition. The two have different uses: pictograms for navigation/UI, illustrations for storytelling/atmosphere.
Can we have an isometric 3D style?
Yes. We do vector isometric work (fake 3D in a flat style). However, if you want real 3D (Blender/Cinema 4D renders with realistic textures), that’s a different service (Motion 3D). Please specify in the brief.
Are the files editable after delivery?
Yes. We provide editable Illustrator (.AI) + SVG sources. Your team can change the colors, resize, and duplicate elements. If you don't have Illustrator, SVG files can be opened in Figma (with some limitations on advanced effects).
Price for a pack of 10 illustrations?
Fixed fee: €2,800-€3,500 depending on complexity (simple shapes vs multi-layer compositions). Includes: 3 color variants per illustration, all formats, source files, unlimited revisions. No surprises, no change orders.
Do you also do animations of these illustrations (motion)?
Yes. If you want to animate the illustrations (progressive appearance, shape morphing, parallax), we can produce the motion versions (After Effects, Lottie for web). Timeframe: +3-4 days. Price: +40% of the static illustrations package.
Can we see examples before ordering?
Two options: 1) Check our project portfolio (filter by "Illustrations"). 2) We will create 2 free test illustrations based on your brief (turnaround: 48 hours). This allows you to validate the style before ordering the complete package.
What if we want to add 5 illustrations in 3 months?
No problem. We will keep the source file of the visual system (palette, shape library). The new illustrations will maintain the same stylistic consistency. Turnaround: 3-4 days for an add-on of 5 illustrations.
