From pixel to print: total consistency, zero disaster
Print is not dead; it is just butchered 9 times out of 10. At Dafolle, your brochures, business cards, roll-ups, and packaging are designed as extensions of your Design System. Not as haphazard parallel projects. Print-ready files delivered in 5-7 days, revisions included, zero printer returns for technical errors.

Print Dafolle: 3 reasons to never use a printer for design again
Extension of your brand ecosystem. Not a side project.
Your print materials directly derive from your graphic charter (the one created by Dafolle or your existing one). Typography, colours, layout grids: everything is calibrated to work in CMYK, on paper, with real physical constraints (folding, cutting, binding). The result: total consistency between your website, your slides, and your brochures. Not three different visual universes.
01 /
Print-ready files that don't crash at the printer.
High definition PDF (PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4), 3mm bleed, crop marks, CMYK conversion with ISO Coated v2 profile, vectorization of fonts, management of rich blacks (C40/M40/Y40/K100). Your printer receives a technically flawless file. They just need to start the press. No back-and-forth for "resolution issue" or "colour bleed".
02 /
Designers who master print. Not just web.
Our designers delivered packaging for retail products, event brochures for over 5000 participants, and sales brochures for scaling startups. They understand the difference between coated matt paper and recycled offset. They know why your blue #0066FF will never look the same in CMJN. Real expertise, not theoretical.

Day 1
Brief & Framing
You send us: the content (texts, images), the desired format (A4, 3-fold brochure, roll-up 85x200cm...), the expected print quantity, and the final delivery deadline. We define the technical constraints (paper, finishes, binding) with you and/or your printer if you already have one.
Days 2-4
Design & Iterations
We design your materials while respecting your graphic charter (or Dafolle identity if we have created it). You validate through unlimited iterations. We adjust typography, hierarchy, spacing until it is pixel-perfect. No "that will do."
Day 5
Preparing Print-Ready files
CMYK conversion with a colour profile adapted to your paper type, adding bleed (3mm standard), crop marks, font vectorisation to avoid missing font issues, and image optimisation at a minimum of 300 DPI. Export in high definition PDF (PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4 depending on the printer).
Days 6-7
BAT Validation & Final Delivery
If you already have a printer, we review the proof (Bon À Tirer = colour proof) with you. If a colour deviation is detected, we correct it before production. Final delivery: print-ready files + sources (AI or Figma) for future adjustments.
The print drama: magnificent on screen, catastrophic once printed.
Because the designer never checked the colour profiles. Nor the bleed margins. Nor... anything, really.
| Critères | Dafolle | Agency | Freelance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Methodology | Designs thought out for printing from the start (CMYK profiles, resolution, paper) | Designs created in RGB then hastily converted to CMYK (surprise upon unboxing) | Files created for the web then "adapted" for print (spoiler: it never works) |
| Technical management | Bleeds, crop marks, safe area: all managed natively | "We add bleeds at the end" (= guaranteed shifts) | Bleeds? What’s that? |
| Paper & finishing choices | Recommendations for paper and finishing suitable for the project (varnish, gilding, embossing...) | No recommendations (you figure it out with the printer) | "Use 300g, it should be fine" (expert advice) |
| Proof & colour validation | Contractual proof + Colour validation with the printer before full print run | PDF proof by email (spoiler: colours on screen ≠ print) | No proof (you discover the result upon delivery) |
| Deliverable files | Print-ready files (high-res PDF + InDesign/Illustrator source files) | Low-resolution PDF (must ask for the HD ones again) | JPEG exported from Canva (good luck with the printer) |
| Production tracking | Printer tracking + Quality control before shipping (we check it meets expectations) | No tracking (you deal with the printer yourself) | "I just do the design, printing is your problem" |
| Brand consistency | Total consistency with the digital identity (same font, same colours, same style) | Approximate consistency (print vaguely resembles the site) | Zero consistency (it looks like two different brands) |
| Result | Impeccable print support that enhances the brand (like Moo business cards, MOO brochures) | "Correct" print with colour surprises (never as expected) | Amateur print identifiable from 10 meters away (cheap paper + broken colours) |
