Creative Brief & Art Direction
We analyze your needs: use cases (LP, product, marketing), brand tone (corporate, fun, minimalist), audience (B2B, B2C, developers). You send us your existing assets (brand guidelines, logos, current UI) + visual references (sites, apps, styles you like). We propose 2-3 art directions (moodboards with style examples: colorful flat, monochrome line art, isometric, semi-realistic). Deliverable: approved direction + color palette + composition grid.

Concepts & Rough Sketches
Creation of visual concepts for your 8-12 illustrations (rough sketches, composition, characters, scenes). Validation of the visual narrative (what does each illustration tell?). Construction of the graphic system (recurring elements, construction grid, coherence between visuals). Deliverable: sketches/wireframes of all illustrations for validation before production.

Vectorization & Coloring
Vector production of illustrations (Illustrator, Figma). Application of the brand color palette. Adding details (textures, shadows, depth). Optimization for the web (ultra-light SVG, simplified curves). First batch of 3-4 illustrations delivered for validation of the final rendering.

Iterations & Adjustments
You test the illustrations in context (LP, app, slides), we adjust based on your feedback (colors too saturated? We dial down the vibrance. Hard to read on mobile? We simplify the details. Complete Production & Variations
Finalization of the 8-12 illustrations of the set. Creation of variations (color variants for dark mode, simplified versions for mobile, alternative compositions). Multi-format export (SVG, high-def PNG, optimized WebP). Web performance tests (lossless compression without quality loss).
Day 5
Delivery & Style Guide
Delivery of the complete package: vector source files (AI, Figma, SVG), optimized exports (PNG, WebP, responsive formats), style guide (palette, associated typography, do's & don'ts, usage examples). Technical documentation (web integration, accessibility, CSS animation if requested). Archiving of your illustration library (for future adaptations without starting from scratch).

The tools we use for SaaS illustrations
What is the difference between your custom illustrations and the Freepik/Undraw/Storyset packs?
Stock illustrations = generic templates used on 10,000+ sites (zero differentiation, you can spot an Undraw illustration from 100 meters away). Upside: fast and cheap. Downside: everyone has seen them already, they scream "startup that can't afford it," and you can't build a strong visual identity. Dafolle custom illustrations = created from scratch for your brand (unique palette, a style aligned with your brand identity, characters and scenes that tell YOUR story). You're the only one in the world with these visuals. Price: 3-5x a Freepik subscription, but a massive ROI on differentiation and perceived quality (especially for enterprise B2B or premium products).
Can you adapt the illustrations if my brand guidelines change?
Yes. With a subscription, you can request unlimited adaptations (new brand colors, new style, new scenes). With a project package, you have 3 rounds of adjustments included within 30 days post-delivery. Important: we archive your vector source files, so any future modifications start from the existing files (we only change the palette or the affected elements, you do not pay for a complete redesign). Timeline: 24-48 hours for color changes, 2-3 days for adding new illustrations within the same system.
What is the timeline if I need the illustrations urgently (product launch, event, pitch)?
Rush Mode: delivery in 48 hours for 3-4 simple illustrations (+50% on the rate). Standard turnaround: 3-5 days for a pack of 8-12 illustrations. If you have a fixed deadline (e.g., investor pitch on the 20th, product launch on the 30th), please brief us at least 7 days in advance to ensure peace of mind. We prioritize projects with firm deadlines.
How much does it actually cost?
Landing Page Pack (8-12 system illustrations) = €3,500-5,500. Complete Product Pack (LP + app + marketing) = €6,500-9,500. Pitch Deck Pack (10-15 custom illustrated slides) = €2,500-4,000. Subscription (starting at €4,500/month): unlimited production of illustrations, including iterations. The exact pricing depends on the complexity (number of characters, level of detail, micro-interaction animations or static). We provide a fixed quote after the brief.
Do I get the source files (Illustrator, Figma)?
Yes. You receive optimized exports (SVG, PNG, WebP) + editable source files (Adobe Illustrator .ai, Figma with organized components) + the style guide (palette, grid, do's & don'ts). Use case: you have an internal design team that wants to create new illustrations in the same style, or you want to modify some elements yourself. In short, you have everything. We also archive your library on the Dafolle side: if you come back 6 months later for new scenes, we start with your existing system.
What tools are you working with?
Adobe Illustrator (industry standard for vector graphics) and Figma (for real-time collaboration and dev handoff). Exports: SVG (ultra-light for web, scalable infinitely), high-def PNG (for prints, slides), WebP (optimized format for web performance). We can also deliver in Procreate format if you need hand-drawn textures, or After Effects if you want micro-animations (Lottie/JSON export for web integration).
Do you also do animation/motion design for illustrations?
Yes. We can animate your illustrations (micro-interactions for hover, scroll animations, loops for hero sections, transitions between states). Delivered formats: Lottie/JSON (ultra-light, easy web integration), MP4/WebM (for video ads), GIF (for emails/social media). Timeframe: +2-3 days compared to static illustrations. Use cases: animated hero section, interactive onboarding, moving ads (CTR +67% compared to static according to our tests).
What types of illustration styles are you good at?
We do: flat design (like Stripe, Intercom), minimalist line art (like Dropbox, Figma), isometric (like Asana, Atlassian), semi-realistic with textures (like Headspace, Calm), duotone/monochrome (corporate B2B), modern gradients (like Instagram, Spotify), organic hand-drawn (fun/creative startups).
